How to enable push notifications for Facebook on your Android

It seems that the Facebook application on Android is a tad buggy and will sometimes not give out push notifications. The solution? Get a Blackberry, or at least trick the Facebook permissions into thinking that it is on a Blackberry.

It appears that by changing the permissions on your device to Blackberry, push notifications start to work almost miraculously although we’re not sure why. Granted it would be awesome if the native Facebook app would work right off the bat but if you’re willing to tweak with your device’s settings, you should start receiving push notifications.
