Cheaper 8GB iPhone 4 in the works?

There have long been rumors that suggests Apple is planning a cheaper version of the iPhone. Some have speculated that perhaps their new iPhone will feature a cheaper/budget edition, while some are thinking that perhaps the iPhone 3GS will be the cheaper model. Well as it turns out it appears that Apple’s budget iPhone will be an 8GB version of the iPhone 4.

A cheaper iPhone makes sense for Apple, especially if they’re attempting to break into emerging markets such as China. The sources are saying that Asian suppliers to Apple have begun manufacturing the 8GB version of the iPhone 4, whose flash drives are sourced Toshiba and Samsung.

Naturally all company officials have declined to make any statements regarding the issue, but there have been many of these “claims” in the past, so with all rumors they’re best taken with a grain of salt. However if an 8GB iPhone 4 that is priced between $150-200 (we’re not sure if this price is with/without contract), would that be something you’d be interested in?
