Backlight Notifications mod

Thanks to the developers at XDA, there is now a new mod by XDA member, sicopat, that would allow your Samsung Galaxy S II to inform you that you have a notification without having to unlock your device to check for yourself.

Much like how Blackberry device’s have a blinking LED at the top corner of their device that indicates when they have a new message or Facebook notification, this Backlight Notifications mod will pretty much do the same, except this time the “Menu” and “Back” buttons on your Galaxy S II will light up when you get a notification.

There is a free version and a paid version, with the paid version supporting more apps. For more information regarding the mod just head on down to XDA’s forums.
