Apple looking to hire someone with LTE expertise

About a week ago, it was reported that carriers were supposedly testing out LTE iPhones. There were also reports that Apple stores had reportedly installed 4G LTE equipment, and last week there was apparently a job posting by Apple who was seeking someone with experience in LTE. As we all know, Tim Cook has stated before that we will not be seeing LTE so soon in iPhones due to the way the LTE chips functioned which would ultimately cause Apple to compromise on their design, a move which was rejected.

The Qualcomm chipset which some are thinking Apple will use is the MDM9615, and according to a roadmap leak pointed at the chipset seeing a release in Q2 in 2012, so while those rumors of carriers testing out an LTE iPhone may not be for the iPhone 5, if the chipset is indeed intended to be used in the iPhone, it will probably be in 2012 and for the iPhone 6.
