ViewSonic ViewBook VB730 gets a price cut

As if the pricing on the ViewSonic ViewBook VB730 wasn’t competitive before, but now it looks like it got even cheaper, dropping from $299.99 to $229.99. It’s a cheaper alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but the bad news is that it only comes with Android’s Froyo 2.2., but we suppose an update may come eventually, although we won’t be holding our breath.

Just a quick refresher for those who might have forgotten about the ViewBook VB730 – the device will be running on a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor and features a LED 800×480 display, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. Not particularly amazing, but it looks like it should be able to perform most of the basic tablet functions and more. I suppose that’s what you get for $230.
