T-Mobile Sidekick 4G software update is now available

Are you a proud owner of the Sidekick 4G form T-Mobile? If you have answered in the affirmative, you would be well pleased to know that you will be able to get hold of an over-the-air update notification for the new ROM. Unfortunately, there is no Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to give your Android 2.2 Froyo a boost, since this is a maintenance update.

Should you make the update, then your new version will be known as the T839UVKG2. Already being pushed out in parts since July 21 (which was last week), you ought to have received it by now if you haven’t done so already. T-Mobile did reveal that the update will comprise of “various bug fixes and enhancements based on customer feedback”.
