T-Mobile myTouch 4G users to get Gingerbread 2.3 update throughout the year

Owners of the HTC myTouch 4G will be pleased to know that the Android Gingerbread 2.3 update will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks and continue gradually through the end of the year.

As it stands, a very small group of myTouch 4G owners have received the updates, and while this isn’t exactly the best of news for the rest of myTouch 4G owners, it does mean that the update is sort of here already, although judging by what T-Mobile has said, it could take a while. Considering it’s only July, that could very well mean that by the time the update gets around to your device, you could have a new one already.
