Sprint announces pricing and availability of the Motorola Photon 4G

Were you excited about the Motorola Photon 4G when it was announced? Well when Sprint first unveiled the device that was pretty much all they revealed, with no word on availability or pricing, but now it looks like a date and price has been announced, which is good news for those who have been eyeing the device from the start.

For those who are wondering what the big deal about the Motorola Photon 4G is, the device will be Sprint’s first world phone with GSM radios and it comes loaded with Android Gingerbread 2.3, a a 1GHz dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4G radios, 16GB of internal storage, a 1700mAh battery, HDMI-out with mirroring and an 8 megapixel HD camera and a front facing camera as well. It comes with a 4.3-inch display and a kickstand too.

Sounds good? If that managed to pique your interest, you will be glad to know that come 31st July you will be able to pick up the device for $199.99 along with a 2-year contract, although according to the press release, you should be able to get the device online 3 days prior to the launch date, while stocks last of course.
