Samsung Epic 4G to receive Gingerbread update this month?

Good news Samsung Epic 4G users, it looks like the Gingerbread 2.3 update should be arriving soon for you guys. There have been several leaks of the update that have dated back to April, and it’s already July, and you would think that something official would have made its way out, but it hasn’t.

Regardless, there are now new rumors regarding the update which seems to be pointing at a July 24^th release at the very earliest. The rumors have also pointed at the TouchWiz UI being the reason for the delay, but since July 24^th isn’t that far off, I guess Epic 4G users will just have to cross their fingers and hope the update will be on time.
