New Verizon data plan will include $30 tethering fees for 4G customers

As we all know, Verizon has plans to end their unlimited data plan, which sounds like a bummer, although they have said that existing users on the unlimited data plan will still be able to enjoy unlimited data access even after the plans have been dropped. The plans have not officially rolled out yet, so for those of you looking to get in on unlimited data, you should probably act fast.

The new plan however, will now start charging $30 a month for users on 4G capable devices who wish to make use of tethering services. We’re guessing it’s a bit of a shock for users who have been enjoying free tethering all this while, but all good things must eventually come to an end. The good news is that you will still be able to enjoy unlimited 4G tethering at a fee of $30 a month, while other users will have to cough up $20 a month but are limited to just 2GB of data.

Once again, the new plans are said to roll out next Thursday, so if you’re looking to get in on unlimited 4G tethering or the unlimited data plan, the time to act is now!
