New Motorola Defy headed to AT&T?

For those unfamiliar with the Motorola Defy, it is a full touch screen Android device that the company claims will be able to withstand being dropped, submerged in water and is dust/scratch proof. Yes as the name implies, it defies all sorts of abuse that is being given to it. However there are new rumors of a successor to the Motorola Defy, known as the Defy+, which is said to be making its way to AT&T.

The rumors are pointing at 850 / 1900 / 2100 HSPA radios (hence the AT&T assumption) and is said to rock a 1GHz OMAP 3620 processor in place of the OMAP 3610 in the current version, as well as Android’s Gingerbread 2.3.3 right out of the box. Naturally since it will be carrying the Defy name, we’re guessing that the Defy+ will be able to withstand the same amount of abuse, if not more. I guess we will have to wait and see.
