We all know that the Motorola Xoom did not manage to achieve the level of success that it was hoping to get, and we’re not surprised to hear the rumors that Motorola is working on a Xoom 2. After all, why wouldn’t Motorola attempt to win some fans back with a tablet that is bigger and badder the second time around?

It seems that the rumors are now saying that Motorola is currently testing out a prototype of the device which is said to be running on Ice Cream Sandwich, and will be sporting a 2048×1536 resolution, which is almost double the resolution of the first Xoom tablet. There area also speculations that the device will be powered by NVidia’s Tegra-3 processor, which means not only will the Xoom 2 feature a monster of a display, but will also be quad-core? Seems like a stretch, and not to mention how on earth did Motorola get their hands on Ice Cream Sandwich so soon?

These specs are leaning more towards a dream tablet device rather than an actual one, although if the rumors are true, we could be looking at one hell of a tablet.
