iPhone 5 spotted in the wild?

Despite no official word from Apple, it did not stop the rumor mills from churning out bits of rumors regarding the possible release of the next-generation iPhone. For iPhone 5 fans or hopefuls, or even those who have been following the tech news, you guys should be aware of the rumors circulating claiming that the iPhone 5 will be seeing a release in fall, although there have been many fingers pointing at various months – August, September or October.

As it turns out, it appears that a photo of an iPhone 5 was captured aboard a train. It seems that the man using the rumored device was being extra cautious about it by covering the Apple logo to make sure that no one knew it was an Apple product. Judging by its design and various commentaries around the internet, it seems that the device has gone under a pretty huge redesign and is sporting a larger screen while maintaining the same body size (less bezel I guess) and a curved glass back which means they have gone back to using the same antenna design as the iPhone 3GS.

We can’t be 100% sure about this as the phone does seem to be missing a flash unit, or at least one that we can’t see from the photo. However if the August/September/October releases are true then perhaps it’s not so hard to believe that there are working iPhone 5’s out there that are being tested in real world settings as we speak.
