HTC Vigor has a 720p HD display?

A couple of posts ago we reported on a mysterious Samsung device which sported a resolution of 1280×768. It is unknown if that device will be a tablet or a smartphone, but it appears that HTC has something similar planned, except this time it appears that in HTC’s case, it will be a smartphone with the HTC Vigor. If that is true, HTC may very well produce the first smartphone to feature a 720p HD display!

The rumored specs are a 1.5GHz processor while running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3.4. Other than that, not much else is known about the device or when it will be arriving or how much it will cost. However if the other rumors are true, it seems that Motorola may have something similar up their sleeves as well, and given that Samsung’s Super AMOLED is probably the best display on the market right now, it’s hard to imagine how awesome a 720p HD display will look like!
