HTC releases source code for Incredible S, Desire Z and Flyer

First HTC users campaigned for unlocked bootloaders, and it looks like they will be getting it this late August. Now it looks like another campaign has been formed, and this time owners of HTC devices have been asking for the source code to their phones, such as the EVO 3D, EVO 4G, EVO Shift, Sensation, and Incredible 2.

It seems that HTC once again decided to listen to the demands of their customers and have released the kernel source codes to some of their older devices, such as the Incredible S, Desire Z and even the HTC Flyer. What this means is that now hackers and developers will have access to the source codes, meaning that in theory, it would be possible to port the operating system on the Flyer to another device, such as the EVO 3D.

We’re not sure if HTC has plans to comply with their customers other requests and release the source code for some of the newer handsets, but it looks to be a good start!
