HTC EVO 3D and Sensation overclocked to 1.7GHz

Users of the HTC EVO 3D and Sensation will be glad to know that their devices are capable of being overclocked to speeds of 1.7GHz. Granted that the bootloaders on HTC devices are still locked, it’s good to know that those who are looking to overclock their devices will be able to do so once the kernel source code and bootloaders have been unlocked.

However it was only yesterday that we reported that the HTC EVO 3D was facing some overheating issues, so we’re not sure how the overclocking may affect that, as we’re guessing that it would require more juice, which could potentially cause the device to heat up further. We guess we will have to wait for Sprint/HTC to address the issue before we will be able to know more.
