Facebook App For iOS Gets Updated

Published

If you are an iOS user, there’s probably a high chance that you own the Facebook app as well. It’s official and it’s free, so why not? Well if you do own the app, it looks like the app has recently been updated to version 3.4.3 and along with the update comes several new features and bug fixes.

For the full list of changes you can check out the change log when you proceed to the iTunes Appstore to download the update, but the new feature that it has brought is landscape mode. If you’re wondering what the big deal is, it seems that many users have been complaining about the lack of this feature, and Facebook listened. Normally when you use Facebook, the news feeds, photos and notifications can be viewed in landscape mode, but when you switch back to the navigation, the orientation will be back to and locked in portrait mode.

We’re not sure why it took Facebook so long to realize this and bring this feature to the app, but either way it looks like the feature is here to stay. The download of the update is only 6.3MB which shouldn’t tax your data cap that badly.
