Blackberry Playbook Now Compatible With Macs

Published

Mac users will be glad to know that they can now synch their Blackberry Playbooks with their computers, as RIM has recently launched the Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac 2.1 a couple of days ago. The BlackBerry Desktop Manager lets you sync data between a computer and your BlackBerry phone or tablet, but since there isn’t native email, calender or contact apps for the Playbook at the moment, there’s really not much you can synchronize.

We’re wondering why did RIM take this long before releasing this software, which by right should have been available from the get-go. More signs supporting the suggestion that RIM did indeed rush the Playbook out into the market before it was ready. Good thing the Playbook’s specs are pretty decent, so here’s hoping that they will eventually get everything together before it’s too late.
