ZTE Libra Gingerbread Phone Is Now Live

on

ZTE has apparently released their Libra phone in Asia this week, or better known as the X880. It comes with Android’s latest offering – Gingerbread 2.3.4 and it will pack a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 chip, and offers GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz, UMTS 900 / 2100 MHz connectivity as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, a digital compass and assisted GPS.

On top of that it also has full access to the Android Market and comes preloaded with official Google related apps and services. No word on pricing but knowing ZTE’s penchant for creating budget friendly products, we’re going out on a limb here to say that the ZTE Libra will not be breaking the bank any time soon. No word on whether we will be seeing this device hit the States any time soon but if it does it will be another welcome alternative in the ever-increasing portfolio of Android devices out there in the market today.
