ZTE Announces Budget 7-Inch Android Tablet

Huawei and ZTE are both known for producing budget devices, and Huawei had only just recently announced a 7-inch budget tablet to be launched in Japan and now it looks like they’re set to do the same with a budget 7-inch tablet, except that it won’t be making an appearance in Japan, and it is aimed for those who want a tablet but at the same time want it budget friendly as well.

The ZTE Light Plus was announced in Europe and for those who are familiar with the ZTE Light, the Light Plus does not differ too greatly. It still packs a low-res display that features a 800 x 480 resolution, but at the same time gets a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8255 processor and Android’s Gingerbread 2.3.3 along with 512MB of RAM, a 3.2MP camera and microSD card support.

It’s expected to see a release in September although no word on which country will get it and it will come at 250 Euros which is a pretty budget friendly price. Check out the video for a hands on demo.
