What Would You Give For An iPad 2?

So readers, the question posed today is what would you give for an iPad 2? Would you partake in a radio contest that involved you doing something extreme or silly in order to win an iPad 2? Or would you stand in line the day before at the Apple store, queuing up for your turn to purchase an iPad 2? How about selling one of your kidneys so you could get enough money to buy the iPad 2?

Well turns out if that last option was your choice, you would not be the first as a 17-year-old Chinese boy living in the Anhui province in China sold his kidney for 22,000 Yuan which when converted is about $3,400, just so he could get his hands on an iPad 2. “I wanted to buy an iPad 2 but could not afford it,” the unnamed boy told Shanghai Daily. “A broker contacted me on the Internet and said he could help me sell one kidney for 20,000 yuan.”

As you can imagine when his parents found out they weren’t too thrilled about it and immediately contacted the police who could not locate the broker. The boy now says that he regrets his decision and we fully sympathize with him, although if you think about it, not to sound callous, but Apple must have done one hell of a job marketing the iPad 2 for someone to give up their kidney for it.
