UAE Carrier In Talks With Apple To Offer iPhone 5 Later This Year

Etisalat Chief Corporate Communication Officer Ali Al Ahmad acknowledged that his company is negotiating with Apple to carry the iPhone 5 some time later this year.

This is pretty interesting news as this supports the rumors that we might be seeing an iPhone 5 later this year, possibly in fall as the rumors are indicating, but if the UAE carrier is indeed in talks with Apple to carry the iPhone 5 this year, I guess those rumors may very well be true then.

Etisalat is also said to be rolling out LTE networks later this year but no word on whether the iPhone 5 will be able to support it as it is widely believed that the LTE enabled iPhone will only be seen in 2012.
