The 10-Inch Blackberry Playbook Could End Up Just Being A Rumor

The rumors of a 10-inch Blackberry Playbook has been floating around ever since the launch of the current Blackberry Playbook, which is 7-inches in size. Not much is known other than the increase in size as there have been no mentions about hardware or software upgrades, just that Blackberry users can look forward to a 3-inch increase from the Playbook. Well as it turns out, there are new rumors that have been going around, and this time the rumors are saying that the 10-inch Playbook has been cancelled.

If you think about it, these are rumors of a cancellation of a rumored device, so it’s really a win or lose situation, since neither can be confirmed. The rumors claim that RIM has decided to cancel the 10-inch Blackberry, and instead focus on a new phone which will be running on the QNX software that can be found on the Blackberry Playbook.

As it stands right now, RIM has been slowly losing market share to both Android and Apple, and with staff defecting to upcoming companies, perhaps it’s time that RIM came up with a modern handset that could possibly halt their decline.
