Samsung Working With CyanogenMod Dev

If you were under the impression that phone manufacturers and operating system developers such as Google or Apple are against jailbreaking and rooting of devices, perhaps in this latest move by Samsung will start making you rethink that stance.

In a rather surprising move by Samsung, they got in touch the the popular CyanogenMod’s developer by delivering a brand new Samsung Galaxy S II in order to get the latest CyanogenMod working on the device. I guess phone manufacturers are starting to realize that what they offer to their users may not be enough so instead of fighting the developers who are giving their customers what they want, they should probably work hand in hand and foster better relationships.

It looks like they have succeeded with AtinM of CyanogenMod as he tweeted “you will not hear me bad-mouth Samsung again.”
