RIM’s Marketing Exec Leaves For Samsung

Those keeping up with the smartphone industry knows that RIM is losing their market share day by day, no thanks in part to the big boys of iOS and Android, especially after Apple had announced iOS 5 with their iMessage system, RIM really doesn’t have much to offer in terms of uniqueness to their customers any more, so it’s no wonder that there have been a few people leaving RIM recently include RIM’s digital marketing wizard Brian Wallace who has traded his position at RIM for a Vice President of strategic marketing position at Samsung.

Job cuts have also been looming on the horizon and it’s really not surprising to see RIM’s share prices also falling a further 6.7 percent on Monday, closing at $25.89 on the Nasdaq and have now have lost about more than half of their value this year. With RIM’s execs starting to leave one by one, who will be stepping into those shoes and how will RIM make a comeback from all of this? Guess only time will tell.
