Nokia’s CTO Takes Leave Of Absence Over Windows Phone 7 Plans?

According to a newspaper report, Nokia’s new CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Rich Green has taken a leave of absence from the company and sources indicate that the leave of absence will be until the end of the year and there is a high chance that he will not be returning to the company.

The sources have also said that his leave was partly due to disagreements over the company’s strategy to drop the Linux based MeeGo operating system in favor of Windows Phone 7, which many others have thought was a brilliant move and a move that could help revive the company’s falling market share in smartphones. True or not it is totally not unfounded as there are still Symbian and MeeGo loyalists out there who feel that perhaps Nokia should be sticking to what they were originally known for.

Do you agree or disagree with the leaving of Rich Green or do you think that Nokia should embrace change?
