Mobile Payment System Coming To Blackberry

Published

on

As we know, the upcoming Blackberry 9900 and 9930 will be the first Blackberry devices to be NFC enabled, which means we’re thinking that there may be some form of mobile payment system in the works, either that or it will be usable with Google’s NFC payment services – Google Wallet.

However it looks like MasterCard and CSI Enterprises have teamed up together to create a mobile payment services of their own, with the CSI Virtual MasterCard app that will be available come July, and this partnership is said to be extended to not just Blackberry devices, but Android and iOS devices too. There’s no actual word on whether this is NFC enabled, since iOS devices do not feature NFC chips, and there are only a handful of Android devices that do, but either way it looks like Blackberry owners can now be part of the mobile payment crowd.
