Is T-Mobile Enabling 3G Google Talk Video Chat?

T-Mobile Android users who have updated to the Gingerbread 2.3.4 update probably are aware of what the update was bringing to the table, and one very much talked about feature was video chat. The video chat function uses Google Talk’s video chat features, but when users excitedly tried to make those first few video calls to friends and family, they were greeted by this error message instead. Probably not the message they were hoping to see, as they were puzzled as to why they could not make these calls via 3G instead.

Well as it turns out, there have been an increasing amount of users who have recently started reporting that they are now able to make video calls via Google Talk, over their 3G connections. While there has been no word from T-Mobile as to whether they have flipped the switch for 3G video calls, we can’t be sure if it’s official or just limited to a lucky few customers. Either way, we’d love to hear from you if you are now able to make 3G video calls on your T-Mobile Android device.
