iPhone 3GS Won’t Get To Enjoy Some Of iOS 5’s Features

iPhone 3GS users were probably ecstatic to hear that their phone would be able to run the brand new iOS 5 that Apple recently revealed at this year’s WWDC, where contrary to rumors which had stated that the iOS 5 will only be available to iPhone 4’s and the next generation iPhone.

Their happiness is probaby shortlived because as it turns out the iPhone 3GS while being able to support iOS 5, it will however not be able to enjoy all of the promised 200 new features, namely tabbed browsing on Safari and photo editing with the native camera app.

Granted this is only the iOS 5 beta so there is still quite a bit of time until fall which is when Apple is planning to release the iOS 5 so here’s to hoping that during that time Apple will be able to optimize the software to support the 3GS. The good news is that the new notification system seems to be working just fine so at the very least iPhone 3GS users will have that to be thankful for.
