iOS 5 Voice Recognition To Come In Fall?

Published

Yesterday we were wondering what happened to voice recognition being one of the new features that Apple would be announcing at WWDC’s keynote address and we speculated that perhaps the technology was just not ready, at least not in time for WWDC and turns out that perhaps we were pretty close to the mark.

Robert Scoble, a rather reliable tech blogger, said that according to his source, the one that discovered deep Twitter integration in iOS 5, claimed that the voice recognition technology was just not ready in time for WWDC, which explained why it did not make an appearance during Apple’s WWDC keynote.

Scoble went on to say that come this fall when iOS is released, we should be seeing voice recognition being built into the operating system, possibly along with the next generation iPhone too. Looks like we will have to wait until fall to find out.
