HP TouchPad To Get Facebook App Before iPad?

If you’re new to tablets, you probably did not realize that the iPad actually did not have a native Facebook app, or at least no official Facebook app. This is currently being worked on by Facebook although no word on when iPad users will be able to get their hands on it. On the other hand, it looks like the HP TouchPad will be beating iPad to the punch as they will be getting their very own webOS Facebook app before the iPad does.

Unfortunately the app is being developed by HP and not Facebook themselves, which means even though they will have a native Facebook app to call their own, it’s not an official Facebook app. However this isn’t exactly bad news, because for all we know HP did a good job with their native Facebook app, and will be more than sufficient for their users. On the other hand, they could have done a really bad job, but I guess we will have to wait and find out as the HP TouchPad will be shipping out next week.
