eyeSight Makes It’s Way To iOS Devices

Published

If you are an iOS user and you are unfamiliar with eyeSight you can hardly be blamed as their technology has remained unsupported on iOS devices and they can mostly be found on Android, Windows, Linux and Meego platforms. Basically what this technology does is that it utilizes the front facing camera of your device (which might explain why only now they bring their technology to the iPhone 4 and iPad 2) and through the front facing camera, it allows you to interact with your device through gestures, for example using gestures while driving to answer a phone call, or use it to flip a page in an eBook while cooking.

As it stands there are no apps in the iTunes App Store that makes use of eyeSight technology, obviously not since it wasn’t supported before, but according to the company, an app that utilizes the technology will be launched soon. In fact the technology could also be used for gaming purposes, almost like a mini version of the Xbox Kinect.

Any Android, Windows, Linux or Meego users that have had experience with this technology before and would like to share their thoughts on it?
