DUI Checkpoint Apps Finally Get Banned

Last time reported that Apple was being requested by the government to ban apps that indicated where certain DUI checkpoints were, in an attempt to prevent people from driving home if they were intoxicated. Now it looks like Apple has decided to listen and they have indeed banned the DUI checkpoint apps from their app store, saying that they will now ban all DUI checkpoint apps unless they were developed by law enforcement agencies, although we don’t see that happening any time soon.

No word on whether those who have already downloaded the apps will be able to continue using them, but for the sake of safety please don’t drink and drive!
