Consumers Want iPad, Not Tablets?

In a recent study conducted by Wall Street’s Bernstein Research it shows that out of a sampling of 200 participants from both the US and UK, 50% of those asked said that their next tablet will be an Apple branded product and they also went on to say that they preferred Apple’s form factor, the 9.7-inch display over any other form factor.

Considering the numerous offering of Android tablets out there from HTC, ASUS, Acer, Dell, Motorola and Huawei, it’s odd that half would go for Apple’s lone offering, the iPad 2. Granted that Apple’s iPad 2 is one of the hottest gadgets available on the market right now but for a staggering 50% to prefer it over at least 10 other offerings seems a little off. What do you readers think? I wouldn’t go as far as to say that Bernstein’s Research was rigged or created to favor Apple but since we don’t know the questions that were posed, we’ll just have to take it with a grain of salt.
