Andy Pad Coming To UK Soon

The Andy Pad is a 7-inch Android tablet that is supposed to be one of the more budget friendly tablets (although we’re finding it very hard for tablets to beat the $49 offering of the Sakshat tablet in India) coming in at 200 GBP (about $300) and it looks like it should be released sometime by the end of the week.

Not much is known about this “budget” tablet yet other than the fact that it will feature a 7-inch display, 1080p HDMI out, a mini SD card reader & micro USB connectivity and a “competitive processor”. We’re also expecting that it will most likely run on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 rather than the Honeycomb 3.0 operating system.

Interesting piece of trivia for those who didn’t already know – the Andy Pad is not made by a tech company, but rather it was made by a mattress vendor known for their cheap and affordable products – Mattressman. Specs wise it’s not too fancy but judging from the teaser picture above it doesn’t look too horrible. I guess we will have to wait for its release before we know more about it. Until then, stay tuned.
