America Express Teams Up With Foursquare

Do you regularly use your phone to “check in”? There are a couple of different options that you can use to check in these days, Facebook being one of them and Foursquare being another. When Foursquare started to popularize the check in trend, Facebook and Google borrowed the concept and people were starting to wonder if it was only a matter of time before these two internet giants rendered Foursquare and their services obsolete.

Well apparently Foursquare is still standing strong with 10 million users although it was not disclosed as to how many were actually active. We’re guessing part of the appeal that Foursquare has are the achievement badges and also the mayor titles. Regardless it looks like Foursquare is here to stay as they have recently teamed up with America Express to offer Amex cardholders discounts when they check in to certain shops and restaurants, so if you are an Amex user perhaps it’s time to whip out that Foursquare app and start checking in today!
