Vevo App Comes To The Playbook

If there was ever a drawback to the iOS devices it would be the inability to play Flash on it meaning some websites that allowed you to watch music videos or play songs would not be able to be used if you were on an iOS device.

The Blackberry Playbook however has so such issues, therefore the Vevo app for the Playbook seems to make a lot of sense especially to those of you out there who enjoy watching the latest music videos. As I am sure most of us out there are familiar with Vevo which can also be found on YouTube, offering over 25,000 free and legal music videos thanks mostly in part to the partnership that they have with Sony and Universal music.

The details of the launch still remain fuzzy at the moment but all the basics seem to be there – the ability to search by artist, or browse by featured, playlists, categorized by genres and view count. With the Playbook able to support a 1024×600 display, high quality stereo speakers and a dual-core 1GHz processor, handling 1080p quality videos should not be a problem and it should provide a rather enjoyable experience for the user.
