Verizon’s Motorola Droid X2 Is Here

Verizon customers if you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the successor of the Motorola Droid X, look no further as the Droid X2 is finally available to you guys. In case you forgot what the specifications for the Droid X2 are, the Droid X2 will be sporting a massive 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen display, very much similar to its predecessor, but is upgraded to a qHD (960 x 540 pixel) resolution.

It will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and will be running on Android’s Froyo 2.2 operating system, although word has it that the upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3 will be available soon. Don’t forget that the Droid X2 has already been rooted if that’s what you’re after. It also sports a 8MP camera and camcorder, an HDMI-out port and features Mobile Hotspot capabilities.

It will be retailing at $199.99 for a two year contract. Alternatively if you don’t feel like being tied down to a contract, the Motorola Droid X2 will set you back $449.99.
