Unlock Your Samsung Galaxy S 2

Are you living the US? Are you jealous that your friends overseas have already received the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and you’re still waiting, somewhat impatiently? Well now thanks to an app you can now call in that favor your friend overseas owes you and get him or her to ship you the Samsung Galaxy S 2. Thanks to overseas phones using GSM technology what this means is that your imported Samsung Galaxy S 2 will be compatible with GSM carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile.

If you’re interested in being one of the first few in the US to own a Samsung Galaxy S 2 and parade that bad boy in front of all your friends, first you would require the device, and secondly you would only have to download the unlocking app that’s available on the Android Market. The only caveat is that your Samsung Galaxy S 2 would have to be rooted first in order for the app to work, but one can only assume that rooting your device was what you had in mind to begin with. One other thing worth mentioning is that T-Mobile uses a different band compared to the UK so while regular phone features will be usable i.e. making calls and texting, there’s also a chance that you might not be able to enjoy 3G speeds but will instead be stuck on an EDGE connection.

So if being the first is important to you, what are you waiting for now?
