Toshiba’s Android Phone Arrives To KDDI

It seems that Japan is getting all the cool and rather innovative phones and with Toshiba’s REGZA Phone IS11T it doesn’t look like the buck is going to stop there. The Toshiba REGZA Phone IS11T will be running on a 1GHz Snapdragon MSN8655 CPU, Android’s Gingerbread 2.3, a 1Seg TV Tuner, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, DLNA, a 8Mpix Camera and a 4” (854×480) screen.

Toshiba is known for the televisions which is weird how the display for their REGZA phone isn’t the selling point, or perhaps it is running on a REGZA display, much like how Sony Ericsson’s Xperia arc has utilized Sony’s Bravia display for their phone. The REGZA IS11T will also be sporting a slideout keyboard as pictured above. At the moment it’s only available in Japan on KDDI’s network and there’s no word on whether the device will be making their way to the States any time soon.
