Samsung Infuse 4G officially announced by AT&T

AT&T has just announced that the biggest and the thinnest phone in the country is about to hit its network. The Samsung Infuse 4G that was unveiled earlier this year at CES, has been made official as of today. What’s so special about this phone? How about its 4.5″ display and thickness of 8.99mm at its thinnest point? That makes the Samsung Infuse 4G the biggest and the thinnest phone in the country…at least until the 8.7mm Xperia Arc arrives.

The Samsung Infuse 4G may be slim, but it is packed to the brim with features. The phone will feature a 4.5″ SuperAMOLED Plus display, a 1.2GHz processor, an 8megapixel rear camera, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, HSPA+ 4G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone will ship with Android 2.2 out of the box; hopefully a Gingerbread update is already in the works. But for Angry Birds fans, you’ll be pleased to know that the game will ship with the phone, including some extra levels only for Infuse 4G customers.

The Samsung Infuse 4G will go on sale May 15th with a price tag of $199.99 (2-year AT&T contract required).
