It’s always nice when a company gives back to their customers, in this case it looks like RIM is giving away a 9 day trip for 2 to Australia and $2,500 in spending money, sounds like a pretty sweet deal.Apart from this grand prize they will also be giving away 9 Blackberry devices. Basically there are 2 ways that you may enter the contest, one is through their website which could net you a weekly prize of:

“The Online Weekly Prize Prize includes: (i) a choice of one (1) BlackBerry® smartphone (approximate retail value USD $500), an American Express gift card (USD$1000) and a travel gift pack (gift pack includes a carry-on bag, passport wallet, a TSA approved suitcase lock, leather luggage tags, a luggage scale and a travel comfort set. Approximate Retail value USD $350.) Total approximate retail value of the online weekly prize is USD $1,850.”

You can also enter the contest through Twitter and the weekly prize for that would be:

“The Twitter Weekly Prize includes: USD $1,000 American Express Gift Card for travel related prizes of winner’s choice, a luggage set (approximate retail value USD $500) and a Travel Prize Pack of items including a carry-on bag, passport wallet, a TSA approved suitcase lock, leather luggage tags, a luggage scale and a travel comfort set. (Approximate retail value of Travel Prize Pack USD $350). Total approximate retail value of the Twitter weekly prize is USD $1,850.”

In order to be eligible to take part in their contest, “you must be a resident of the continental United States (excluding Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii), the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in the State, Province or Territory of residence at the time of entry.” Good to know that RIM is giving back to their customers despite slowly being overtaken by Android and iOS devices, perhaps this is one of the ways they’re hoping to rebound back, through good customer relations.

Anyway if you’re interested and eligible, just head on down to their website for more details.
