QR codes are starting to catch on

QR codes have started to gain popularity and momentum and are no longer just limited to Blackberry users trying to get Blackberry pin’s off each other. They are also starting to become a trend among Android developers who are starting to use QR codes more extensively on their websites to allow Android users to download their apps more easily rather than having to type in a length address.

Imagine the possibilities especially with our smartphones these days and the availability of QR code reader apps for the major platforms. You might meet a potential business client and instead of him having to hand you his business card and you misplacing it, he could provide you with his business card with a QR code attached on it therefore letting you scan it and store it within your phone among other information such as a photo perhaps or a link to his company’s website. QR codes could also be a means of easily transferring contacts from one phone to the other.

For those out there interested in creating their very own QR websites such as Jumpscan are one of the many out there that would do the trick.
