Motorola Xoom’s microSD Still Not Working

Published

If there was one feature that everyone seems to want from the iDevices it would be the option of adding an external memory card to expand on the current memory but alas the lack of expandable memory has driven potential Apple buyers to other manufacturers such as Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Motorola.

Motorola’s Xoom tablet which was supposed to be Google’s pet Honeycomb tablet has been out for at least 3 months but yet the microSD card slot still does not work. Apparently it’s not an issue with Honeycomb operating system as other Honeycomb tablets have no issue with the microSD slot which means it is probably Motorola’s problem.

Considering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is coming into play already the question is why isn’t Motorola doing anything to enable the microSD slot on the Xoom? Perhaps they have decided to be nice and let Samsung take the lead in the tablet race. Somehow that explanation seems very unlikely.
