Motorola To Release Tegra 3 Tablet This Fall?

If you have not seen the demonstration of NVidia’s quad-core Tegra chip, a.k.a. Kal-El, perhaps you should head on over here to check it out. So what about this chip? Well it seems that according to rumors, Motorola might be releasing the very first Tegra 3 tablet this fall. No idea on what they might be calling this tablet, perhaps the Motorola Xoom 2? Either way if it turns out to be true, this tablet will be the first of its kind to be running on a quad-core processor which is supposedly 5x faster than the Tegra 2 chip and comes with a 12-core NVidia GPU, so expect even more amazing video playbacks and incredible gaming should this device surface.

However it also seems that there are already 10 OEMs working to delivering Tegra 3 tablet devices, among them would be the rumored Amazon tablets, so it looks like Motorola will be getting a run for their money. Let’s hope that Motorola has learnt from some of its mistakes when they made the Motorola Xoom. Pricewise it’s hard to say, especially with the ASUS tablets that are supposed to bring down the overall market price of tablet devices, so will we be seeing the Tegra 3 tablets at affordable prices, or will we be seeing premium prices for early adopters?

I wonder what Apple’s response to this will be?
