Most would prefer the 7-inch Blackberry Playbook Over the 10-inch

After the Blackberry Playbook was released, RIM went ahead and announced that a 10-inch version of the Playbook would be available some time later this year, giving their customers another option to choose from. There have been some mixed reviews with regards to RIM releasing a 10-inch version of the Playbook and a poll done recently on CrackBerry showed that out of the 16,000 poll respondents, 60 percent chose the 7-inch model instead.

Compared to the iPad 2 the Blackberry Playbook is obviously smaller but that also means that it offers more mobility. It could potentially fit into your back pocket if your back pocket is wide enough, which means you can probably afford to take it to more places. That’s not to say you can’t take your iPad 2 out and about but if you were on the go would you rather a 7-inch device of the 9.6-inch of the iPad 2 in terms of portability and mobility?

Of course both have their advantages, the obvious being more real estate to play around with on the iPad 2 meaning bigger browser windows, your movies will be bigger and the text won’t be as squished, although then again we’d have to look at what the user will be using either tablet for. 7-inches is a pretty good size to view webpages as many have managed with 4-inches or less so it’s not a total setback. 7-inches is also a decent size to watch your videos on as many have done before on iPhones with much smaller displays. Perhaps 7-inches is the happy middle to both viewing pleasure and portability.

What would your pick be?
