Logitech Unleashes Accessory Line-Up For Tablets

Good news for Logitech fans, it seems that the company has decided to enter the fray of tablet accessories with their new line-up for both iPads and Android tablets.

“People love their tablets — the category is growing quickly and is here to stay,” said Azmat Ali, Logitech senior director for tablet products. “We’ve created a great lineup of products for tablet users, and it’s just the beginning. Over the coming months you can expect to see additional products for iPad® and Android™ tablets that are designed to help people create, consume and communicate.”

For more information about the line-up check it out after the break.

First up we have the Logitech Keyboard Case which when packed up protects the front and sides of your iPad and it is made out of sleek aluminum cover with military-grade, high-density padding. When opened up it reveals a keyboard which is connected to the iPad via Bluetooth. A recess just behind the keyboard allows for the iPad to be propped up either in landscape or portrait mode.

Next up is the wireless speakers that works not just with the iPad but with Android devices too. It has a wireless range of up to 50 feet. It will be connected to your tablet device via bluetooth.  It also comes with a rechargeable battery that could potentially power the speakers for up to 10 hours, depending on how much you use and what settings you have chosen.

The tablet keyboard comes in two versions – one for Android devices and another for the iPad. Once again it connects to your tablet via bluetooth and it has a range of up to 30 feet. The keyboard will also feature a set of media controls that will allow you to play, pause, skip songs. A separate stand also allows you to prop up for tablet device should you choose to, as pictured above.

Last but not least, the wireless tablet mouse designed specifically for Android tablets that are running on the latest Honeycomb 3.1 operating system. It provides a cursor for your tablet allowing for more precise selection and will be connected via bluetooth.

To be honest all of these accessories do look pretty interesting, especially the mouse for Android tablets. Although apart from the iPad keyboard case the rest don’t look like they’re particularly convenient which kind of defeats the purpose of bringing out a tablet rather than a laptop or netbook.
