If you’re living in Europe and you’ve had your eye on the LG Optimus Black and you wish to make everyone else around the world jealous, congratulations because your wish has come true! According to LG’s press release the Optimus Black will be released first in Europe some time this month  with a white and pink version to be introduced next month. As for the rest of the world the LG Optimus Black will be released at an unspecified date after that.

Promising a 4 inch screen with LG’s new NOVA display technology which is supposed to provide increased levels of brightness with purer white tones thus providing a more natural experience when browsing, reading e-mails and writing documents, and all of that at half the power compared to the AMOLED display. This could give phones running on AMOLED such as the new Verizon’s Samsung Droid Charge a run for their money and some serious competition especially for those out there who are particular about their smartphone’s battery life.

However keep in mind that this is a single-core 1GHz processor therefore if you live in North America and just can’t be bothered to wait a few months for a single-core phone there are a slew of dual-core phones already available for your consumption.
