iPhone Users Run Apps First Thing In The Morning

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Stretch? Reach for a glass of water? Put on your spectacles? Or maybe you reach for your iPhone instead and check your Facebook account. iPhone users out there hands up if that is what you do. I am not ashamed to admit it but that is what I do and apparently I’m not alone in this. In a survey conducted by manufacturer Ericsson, it seems that 35 percent of the people who took the survey instinctively reached for their iPhone or Android device to launch a mobile app before getting out of bed.

Before reading about this survey I didn’t think it was odd that I would reach for my phone the first thing in the morning but to think that out of the sample that they took, a little over a third of the respondents said that that’s what they do, it becomes a bit mind boggling.

I think this just goes to show how dependent we have become on our mobile phones in this day and age where we can just lie in bed with our phone and check and respond to e-mails, Facebook friend requests, check for the latest news, see how our stocks are doing and perhaps even a little bit of Trade Nations.
