iPad 2’s Camera Is Underused

Published

If there was anything to love about the iOS it would be the bevy of photography and videography apps that you could download to take photos that could pass off as professional to downright silly, so why is it that the iPad 2’s camera doesn’t seem to be doing so well?

More after the break.

According to Flickr who maintains a live count of the cameras that are being used on the site, it seems that the iPad 2 is coming in at an all time low compared to the other iOS’s.

As we can see from Flickr’s report the iPad 2 is only clocking about 12,570 uploads to Flickr’s site compared to the iPhone 3G which has an impressive 34 million followed by the iPhone 3GS at 9.4 million and the iPhone 4 at 7 million. Of course if you’re an iPad 2 user this might not come has a surprise because if there was a flaw to the iPad 2 would be its rather disappointing camera, considering what the iPhone 4 managed, how is it that the iPad 2 did not put out a camera as good? Perhaps marketing reasons?

Either way if Apple thought it could get away with pushing out a fantastic tablet with a poor camera it seems that the results have spoken for itself. Let’s hope the iPad 3 will not prove to be a disappointment in the photography department.
